presents the most recent data on Maternal and Newborn Health collected by the Sistema Común de Información (Common Information System) and the Sistema de Vigilancia Epidemiológica del Ministerio de Salud Publica (Epidemiologic Surveilance System of the Ministry of Health), the Instituto Nacional de Estadisticas del Ecuador (Nacional Statistics Institute of Ecuador) as well as the Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Materna e Infantil (Survey on Demography and Maternal and Newborn Health otherwise known as ENDEMAIN 2004).
